THE XOP CODE

Our culture.

Argue all you want. Just don't get abusive.

HOW WE TALK HERE

Loud. Honest. Together.

  1. 01

    Be yourself.

You're your own person, with your own name.

  2. 02

    Argue the point.

Make your case. Don't attack. Don't tear people apart.

  3. 03

    Volume isn't an argument.

Pressure, threats, and humiliation are signs of weakness.

  4. 04

XOP is a culture of conversation.

    Don't turn a room into a pile-on.

  5. 05

    Agreeing != losing.

The strongest admit when they're wrong.

  6. 06

    You can't unsay it.

Everything you say leaves a mark.

RED LINE

Don't use XOP to pressure people.

If you enter a room, you accept the rules. Not reading them is no excuse.

01

Politics stays off XOP.

XOP is not the place for current politics or campaigning. Posts and messages about governments, political parties, elections, protests, geopolitics, and ongoing armed conflicts are not allowed, regardless of the author's position.

02

Dangerous and illegal content

Content that may cause psychological, emotional, or physical harm is prohibited. So is content that violates Russian law; promotes extremism or terrorism; provides instructions for making weapons or explosives; promotes violence, gambling, drugs, alcohol, or tobacco; glorifies suicide or self-harm; encourages dangerous games or challenges; explains how to make or use illegal drugs; or spreads dangerous medical misinformation.

03

A person is not a target

Discrimination, nationalist or racist statements, profanity or disguised profanity, direct or indirect insults, abusive behavior, threats, extortion, cyberbullying, harassment, rumor-spreading, and the creation of hate groups are prohibited.

04

Private stays private.

Do not disclose personal information about members, moderators, or administrators without their consent.

05

Fraud

Scams, phishing, fake websites or stores, fraudulent giveaways, pyramid schemes, and the distribution of illegal software are forbidden.

06

Sexual exploitation

Pornographic or sexually exploitative content, depictions of violence against or exploitation of minors, sexually explicit material without age restrictions, and attempts to involve minors in illegal activities are prohibited.

07

Lies dressed as truth.

Defamation, baseless accusations, deliberate disinformation, fabricated stories that spread panic, manipulation of facts, and presenting conspiracy theories as verified knowledge are prohibited.

08

Noise isn’t conversation.

Flooding the chat, spam, advertising, and begging are prohibited.

STAY IN THE CONVERSATION

Write it. Send it. Keep the thought in one piece.

WHEN THE LINE IS CROSSED

Moderation restores balance.

Every situation is different. Prohibited content is hidden immediately. What happens next depends on the violation.

01

Warning.

02

Another warning.

03

Temporary or permanent access restriction.

04

The option to appeal the decision to the administration.

WHO ENFORCES THE RULES

Moderators follow the same rules.

They enforce the rules, make independent decisions, and work to keep conversations safe for everyone involved. A room is not the place to argue about moderation. If you disagree, you can appeal the decision separately.

AT THE DOOR

Step into XOP — play by the rules.

Speak honestly. Don't pressure people. Listen closely.
